Pemeriksaan klinis atau lebih dikenal dengan nama pemeriksaan fisik adalah sebuah proses dari seorang ahli medis seperti bidan ataupun dokter dalam memeriksa tubuh pasien untuk menemukan tanda klinis penyakit. Hasil pemeriksaan fisik ini akan dicatat dalam sebuah rekam medis. Rekam medis dan pemeriksaan fisik akan membantu dalam penegakkan diagnosis dan perencanaan perawatan pasien.

Biasanya, pemeriksaan fisik dilakukan secara sistematis, mulai dari bagian kepala dan berakhir pada anggota gerak dengan urutan teknik pemeriksaan seperti inspeksi, palpasi, perkusi, dan auskultasi. Pada pemeriksaan abdomen auskultasi dilakakukan setelah inspeksi baru kemudian palpasi dan perkusi. Auskultasi dilakukan sebelum kita melakukan palpasi dan perkusi dengan tujuan agar hasil pemeriksaan auskultasi lebih akurat karena kita belum melakukan manipulasi terhadap abdomen.
